Scotmid is one of the largest independent retail co-operatives in the UK, owned by our members within the communities we operate. We operate food retail stores in England, under the fascia name, Lakes & Dales Co-operative.

We are looking for a Membership & Community Manager to join our team and help drive our exciting membership strategy across our Scotmid Co-operative stores in the Lakes & Dales Region. (Encompassing postcodes DL13, CA 10 & 12, NE25)

You will be involved in developing our Membership and Community work in this area – encouraging members to participate in our Member Journey and also, working with our stores, to develop new community links and organise community and membership events.

You should be enthusiastic and a team player with excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills. You will enjoy working under pressure and be a people person. You will have a driving licence as a car will be provided to travel around the stores in this area. You will also be based at our head office in Newbridge, Edinburgh but be expected to travel to stores across our Lakes & Dales region from Cumbria to Seaton Delaval.

We are looking for a person with a broad set of skills. You could come from a variety of backgrounds including communication, marketing, new media, community engagement and/or event management.

Excellent salary/terms and conditions + car

30 hours across the week, please note that this position will involve some evening and weekend working
