West Lothian Primary School Nurturing Pupils with Healthy Snacks

Pupils in Knightsridge Primary’s Nurture Group can now enjoy healthy snacks after being given £170 of vouchers by SCOTMID co-operative.

The donation will ensure that pupils will have access to a healthy and nutritious snack at breaktime.

Patricia Edington, Scotmid Co-operative Membership and Community Manager, said: “Our community grant scheme is one of the ways that we give back to our local communities. Knightsridge Primary’s Nurture Group does a wonderful job of providing a caring environment to meet the children’s educational and emotional wellness needs and snack time is an essential part of this experience.”

Scotmid donates around a quarter of a million pounds to local causes through its community grant scheme each year. Applications are encouraged for projects that support; children and education, active lifestyles, the environment, health promotion, the elderly, social inclusion, Fairtrade, arts and culture, and charity.
