Scotmid Chief Executive John Brodie received the Industry Achievement Award at the Scottish Grocers Awards in Glasgow on Thursday evening (8 March) in recognition of his contribution over the past 25 years.
John joined Scotmid Co-operative in 1993 before being appointed Chief Executive in 2005 and says he was delighted to receive the accolade.
John said: “I’m really pleased to receive the award, which is recognition for the role Scotmid continues to play in the ever-changing Scottish retail landscape.
“Individual accolades can only be achieved when you’re fortunate to be part of a strong team and I’m proud to be chief executive of Scotmid – a co-operative that continues to be at the heart of the communities we serve.”
