Blyth Spartans Serenity Garden

Blyth Spartans in Northumberland are creating a disabled friendly and accessible garden for the whole community to enjoy with wheelchair suitable paving, raised planters, wildflowers to encourage insects and pollinators, a polytunnel and dedicated seating area in a quiet calming space.

Funding Goal

Funding will be used for paving, materials, suitable tools and equipment, benches, top soil and future proofing the garden to allow local community groups to utilise and volunteer in the garden.

Flynne's Barn

Flynne’s Barn sits in the heart of the Lake District. They provide an inclusive and relaxed place for young people living with cancer to connect with others, to have fun and to help each other along a challenging road – all in the beauty of the mountains. They offer a safe and inclusive environment for young people at different stages of illness and recovery where they can experience a wide range of opportunities.

Funding Goal

Funding will be used to deliver specialist support for young people with cancer accessing stays at the barn.

Men's Pie Club

Men’s Pie Club is a community of member led clubs which supports men at risk of social isolation and loneliness, helping them to connect through communal pie-making. The club enhances men’s health and wellbeing by strengthening social connections, developing skills, and creating a sense of belonging through food. There are currently 34 clubs supporting more than 400 members every week.

Funding Goal

Funding will be used to support to further pie clubs across Northumberland, County Durham, North Tyneside and Cumbria.
