Name A Puppy Competition – Terms and Condition

The following rules (“Specific Rules”) and terms and conditions apply to ‘Scotmid’s Name A Puppy competition’ (“the Competition”), which will run until 10pm on 30th July 2023.

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Specific Rules and Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Details of the Competition:

To enter the Competition an Entrant must choose a name for a puppy due to be born within the next twelve months and be subsequently trained by Guide Dogs UK Charity or Guide Dogs Scotland Charity.

Entries can be made in stores owned and managed by Scotmid Coop and within any of their owned/managed premises.

Entries made in store are charged at £1.

JustGiving entries are charged at £2 (minimum donation) Entrants are encouraged to suggest 2 puppy names.

Free entry can be made by posting your chosen pup name and contact details to: Guide Dog Competition, Scotmid, Hillwood House, 2 Harvest Drive, Newbridge EH28 8QJ. Entry must be received by 30th July 2023 at 10pm.

After the Closing Time of the Competition, the suggested names from all eligible entries will be collated and a winning Entrant and name will be chosen by a panel of Scotmid and Guide Dogs Scotland staff. The winning Entrant will be contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date of the Competition.

If the winning name has been submitted by multiple Entrants, a final winner will be chosen at random from this smaller pool of Entrants. Unsuccessful Entrants will not be contacted.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or over to enter the Competition.

One lucky entrant’s chosen name will be given to a guide dog pup. They will also receive:

– ‘My first pawtrait’ photo and birth certificate keepsake.

– Bi-yearly information factsheets during training.

– A final personalised ‘Thank You’ update with photo.

No substitute prizes or cash alternatives are available.

The prize is non-transferable.

Scotmid employees are eligible to participate.

Specific prize terms:

The prize offered is detailed as naming level ‘Name’ by Guide Dogs, with a value around £2500. Details here

The content of the prize may be subject to change and/or substituted with a prize of equal or greater value.

We require winner name, contact number, postal address & email to facilitate the prize.

Due to the nature of prize donations, please be aware that it can take time to confirm dates.

Not for resale, not transferable and there is no cash alternative.

This is a charity Competition and as such no refunds are given.
