Scotmid Co-operative has picked up the prestigious title of Best Top-Up Retailer at the CTP Awards 2014. The Convenience Tracking Programme Awards, organised by him! research and consulting, were held at the Royal Maritime Museum in London last night (Thursday 15th May 2014).
The CTP Awards are the only industry awards where convenience store shoppers are the judges. Scotmid came out as the best convenience chain for customers looking to top-up shop.
The awards are solely decided by interviews with over 20,000 customers, who rate convenience stores across the UK on their shopping experience, product ranges, customer service, promotions and other criteria.
Him!’s convenience tracking programme is recognised as the voice of the UK convenience shopper. CTP monitors changes to convenience shopper habits, behaviours and attitudes, to gain a complete view of the opportunities and challenges for the industry.
Tom Gibson, Marketing Manager for Scotmid Co-operative said: “Winning this award is a great honour for Scotmid and we are proud to be recognised by our customers and the industry as a leader for top-up shopping. Thank you to all of our stores and staff for their hard work, which has helped Scotmid win this award.”
The awards follow Scotmid’s recent success at the Convenience Retail Awards. Scotmid’s Barnton store in Edinburgh picked up both the Best Multiple Convenience Store in the UK and the Best Use of Technology titles.
