Scotmid scooped two awards at the annual Scottish Grocer Awards in Glasgow on Thursday evening (07 March) – coming out on top in the Bakery Retailer and Food to Go Retailer categories.
The awards ceremony is the highlight of the Scottish convenience retailing industry’s calendar and Scotmid Clarkston store, managed by David Dick, was crowned Bakery Retailer of the Year while Scotmid Ratho Station store, managed by Fiona McFadyen, won Food to Go store of the Year.
Kevin Plant, Head of Food at Scotmid, said: “Congratulations to David and Fiona and their respective store teams for these richly deserved awards.
“It is always great to receive recognition and these accolades are testament to the collective diligence, commitment and skill – it has been a real team effort.
“We are proud of the progress that has been made and our aim is to build on that as we head towards our 160-year anniversary later this year.”
