Crowds welcome Scotmid to Duddingston

Over 150 people gathered for the official opening of the new Scotmid Co-operative store in Duddingston today (17 May 2013). Forth One breakfast radio star, Arlene Stuart, cut the ribbon and welcomed the crowds into the store.

The new Scotmid store, at 191-193 Duddingston Park South, has a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, takeaway food and household essentials. One of the key features of the new store is an in-store bakery from Goodfellow & Stevens, selling fresh morning rolls, hot food and cakes. The store also stocks products from local Scottish suppliers, including Borders Gourmet Ham, PK Foods Glasgow and McIntosh butchers.

Graham Philip, Interim Store Manager said: “Our new store in Duddingston is excellent. It’s bright and breezy with a great selection of fresh foods. There’s an in-store bakery from local bakers, Goodfellow and Steven, a fantastic layout and we always have great value promotions in store. We’re ready to serve the local community.”

Scotmid Duddingston is at 191-193 Duddingston Park South, Edinburgh and will be open from 7am to 10pm seven days a week.
