Clash of the Clans

What do you need to know?

Clash of the Clans will be a fantastically fun final fling for the Society’s charity partnership with Anthony Nolan!

It will take place on Sunday 16th August at SRUC Oatridge Campus, Ecclesmachan, Broxburn, West Lothian EH52 6NH.

The (friendly) competition will require ten teams of up to ten people to compete in a series of events including welly wanging, a haggis and spoon race, archery and tossing the caber, with the day culminating in a knock-out tug of war.

So, gather your co-workers, rally your region and hunt out your head of department to get a team together – we expect this to fill up fast!   If you don’t have a team of ten, just register what you do have and we can put you together with another short number, problem solved!

As well as the competing clans, we’d love to see lots of spectators and we’ll have wee side events and competitions for them to get involved in – all raising money for Anthony Nolan too.  If you have 12 or more people interested in travelling from afar, we may be able help with transport so please email us.

We want to see you crank up the clan spirit for the day so there will be prizes for;

The Winning Clan (wins the prestigious Scotmid trophy!), Best Clan Name, Catchiest Clan Chant, Best Dressed Highland Laddie, Best Dressed Highland Lassie, Best Dressed Clan and more!

Depending on the weather, you might get a bit mucky so bringing a change of clothes would be a good idea.

The cost to participate is £50 per team which must be paid on the day and we hope that you’ll use some clan creativity in pushing up the pennies for our final fling with sponsorship and in-store fundraising.

Come along and help us round off our most successful charity partnership to date!
